Swarovski Christmas Tree Earrings- Step by Step Guide

Christmas is just around the corner!!!!
Earrings using Swarovski Crystal beads are going to be my standard gift to those I love this Christmas... at least, the women I love. As for the men, I have no idea yet.
I've recently Listed these and a clear version of them on my Etsy account. Look at my shop under Earrings to find them: http://www.Etsy.com/shop/AlishaMichelle
These are absolutely ADORABLE and I can't wait until Christmas gets closer so that I can wear them.
Okay, so first things first. You're going to need some tools.
We have a pair of cutters, a pair of looping pliers, and some needle-nose pliers with teeth.
You're going to need beads and some metal supplies:
2x 6mm Emerald green Margarita Swarovski Crystal bead
2x 8mm Emerald green Margarita Swarovski Crystal bead
2x 10mm Emerald green Margarita Swarovski crystal bead
2x 2.5mm Light Siam Bicone Swarovski Crystal bead
2x 2mm Smoked Topaz Round Swarovski Crystal bead
2x headpins
2x earring wires
Look here to buy these supplies and any tools needed: http://www.artbeads.com
Okay, let's get started.
First, you're going to slide the trunk of the tree on to the headpin. Next, put on the Swarovski Margarita beads from largest to smallest so that the largest bead is directly on top of the brown trunk. Next, top with the small red bicone. You've stacked your tree. Now the interesting part...
Grab the end of the head pin (the end with no head) and bend it at the top of the tree. Be careful not to do it too aggressively, or the top crystal may crack.
It should look like this:
Next, take the looping pliers and grab the head pin at the top of the tree. Make sure it is as close to the tree as possible without actually touching it. Grab the end of the head pin and bend it around the looping pliers, pulling to make a round shape with the wire.
It should look like this:
Next, cut off the excess wire leaving some room to complete the rest of the loop.
Finally, use the needle-nose pliers to bend the wire into a complete loop. I find it easiest to push up at the same time as bending to make a nice even loop. This step can be difficult if you've never made jewelry before, so you may want to practice on some empty head pins before trying it. Okay, so now push the loop closed. The tree is finished!!!
Open the loop on the earring wires using your needle-nose pliers, place the tree on the earring wire, close the earring wire loop with pliers and Ta-Da! A beautiful Christmas present! Now repeat all steps for the next one ;)

I've also done them in clear for a more elegant look. These are great because they are more wintery and less Christmasy so you can wear them all season long!
Look too difficult or simply too annoying to make? Buy them already made on my Etsy acoount. Here's the listing: http://www.etsy.com/listing/83669634/swarovski-crystal-christmas-tree

  8. They look fairly easy to make-but I have not tried to do any jewelry in a long time now-and previously when I tried I did have trouble bending the wire correctly-but may try again <3
